Like unto the Gold of Ophir

Founded c. 13th Century B.C.

Although the present Government, Har Tsiyon, was established in 2022 A.D., the Nation of Israel was founded more than three millennia ago by God Himself. He brought the Israelites out of bondage in ancient Egypt around 1213 B.C. during the reign of Pharaoh Ramses II.

“And because he loved thy fathers, therefore he chose their seed after them, and brought thee out in his sight with his mighty power out of Egypt”

(Deuteronomy 4:37)

Many of the other nations were envious of Israel because of God’s special favor upon the Seed of Jacob. For this reason, they scattered the Israelites around the world by murdering and selling God’s Chosen People into slavery.

“They have said, Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation; that the name of Israel may be no more in remembrance.”

(Psalms 83:4)

Dispersed to the four corners of the world and reduced to social and economic nothingness, the Israelites had been without a Government to represent their interests since around 70 A.D., when Rome destroyed the Second Temple in Jerusalem and exiled them from the Holy Land.
